Yes, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), which operates Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in the city, has announced Sri Lankan capital Colombo, as a new destination in its international network. Starting from today, Sri Lankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka, will start its non-stop flight between Hyderabad and Colombo. Starting from July 12 ,2017 Sri lankan airline works 4 days a week direct flight from Hyderabad to Colombo Monday, Wednesday Friday & Sunday!
People willing to spend time in Srilanka will benefit with this less journey of two hours from Hyderabad to Colombo!
Currently Hyderabad Airport serving more than 15 International destinations with 22 % growth rate of passengers
