New year started with big announcement from Government of India. It is already know that government to is encouraging digital transactions in India and now government says " No Charges on Transactions up to Rs. 2000" for next two years . Government also says that customers now no need to pay Transaction charges if paid through Debit, BHIM app and any other payment for up to Rs. 2000.
The merchant discount rate (MDR) will be borne by the government for 2 years costing exchequer an extra Rs. 2,512 crore. In His Tweet Financial Secretary Department of Financial Services(DFS),Min of Finance, Gov. of India Rajiv Kumar says " Happy Digital 2018 ".
