Hardik Pandya slams 26runs in an over off
pushpakamara's one over during the second day of third test in pallekele on
Sunday. He was a few steps short of the
world record by just three runs. However he sets a new milestone of most number
of runs scored by an Indian in one over in test cricket.
Hardik Pandya blasted his way to a maiden
test century on Sunday when he reached
the three figures mark off only 86balls on the second day. He became the quickest Indian to score a
century batting at no. 8 in the longest
format.
Pandya who made his debut in the opening
test at Galle that began on Wednesday, smashed eight fours and seven sixes in
his blitzkrief as India were bowled out for 487. He had started his test career
with a bang smashing 70 on his debut innings in first match which India won by
a whopping 304 runs.
He reached his half century with a single
off 61balls but changed the gears once India lost their ninth wicket at 421. He
took on mahindrapushpakamar and smashed
him for 2fours and 3 sixes in an over.
