Ram Charan's Rangasthalam is competing against Mahanati for the Best Film at the IFFM Awards, while actors Keerthy Suresh and Samantha have been nominated in two different categories.
The two Telugu movies are the most critically acclaimed and commercial hits in Tollywood released during this summer season.
Rangasthalam and Mahanati have become box office blockbusters, setting all new collection records. It is now time for the movies to create a buzz at the award ceremonies.
The only Telugu movies to be nominated in the best film category of the IFFM Awards is the first nod coming their way. This category has eight nominations, of which six are Bollywood films. The two Telugu movies will be competing with Hindi biggies like Padmaavat, Sanju and Raazi.

Its is expected that Ramcharn , Samantha , Aadhi pinishety and Prakash Raj are attending the celebration at Australia which will start on 10th August and ends on 22nd August.

On the other hand, Samantha Akkineni has been nominated for Best Support Performance for her acting in Mahanati. She will compete with Vicky Kaushal and Freida Pinto.
Similarly, `Mahanati’ will also be screened at the Film Festival. Nag Ashwin’s bilingual biopic ‘Mahanati’ has been selected to be screened at the festival this year. Based on the life of South India’s first female superstar Savitri, who was one of the most iconic actresses in the 1950s and 60s, the film mainly focuses on her early life and career. Starring Keerthy Suresh as Savitri, the film also stars Dulquer Salmaan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in pivotal roles. ‘Mahanati’ was also nominated under the competition section for Best Film, Best Actress - Keerthi Suresh and Best Supporting Role- Samantha Akkineni.
